Excellent answer! Great attitude for texting safety!
There are a lot of reasons for you to be careful what you share in a text:
1. First of all, anything you send in a text could potentially end up on the Internet FOREVER!
2. Also, personal identity information (and any other personal information – including pictures) can end up in the wrong hands once it is sent in a text.
3. And lastly, as they say in the Miranda warning, “Anything you say can be used against you.”
So a good text safety rule is NEVER text any personal identity, banking, or password information. If you need to share anything like this with a friend, it is better to make a phone call.
