THE “FAKE INVOICE” SCAM:
The most popular phishing scam out there is the “fake invoice” email.
Like many phishing attacks, this scam relies on fear and urgency, pressuring you to submit a payment for goods or services you’ve never even ordered or received.
If this IS a fake invoice, simple ignoring it will keep you safe. If you do not know if this is a fake invoice, delete the email and go directly to the invoice issuers website in question. Never tap on a link in an email.
